Columbia Manufacturing, Inc. manufactured these rotor ducts for use in a commercial aviation application. These rotor ducts demonstrate our wide range of precision machining and metal forming capabilities; in particular it highlights our expertise in precision CNC turning of large components. Composed of A286 and 625 Inconel-graphite, the finished part measured 44.000" in length, with an outside diameter of 7.000", machined to tolerances of ±.0005".

Our fabrication services utilized precision CNC turning and milling capabilities, TIG welding, rolling and forming. Developing these components required waterjet cutting, vacuum brazing, and bonding and high speed balancing.
